Islamic University in Uganda and Daaru Salaam University Sign MoU

Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) and Daaru Salaam University in Mogadishu, Somalia, have formalized their commitment to enhancing academic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The agreement includes a variety of cooperative efforts, including academic exchange programs for students and faculty, joint research projects aimed at addressing regional challenges, and the sharing of expertise through exchange programs.

The MoU also includes plans for IUIU to host programs in Somalia, capacity building through training, short courses, and work attachments. The partnership will kickstart the development of postgraduate diploma and Master's level programs, starting with a focus on teaching at higher education institutions.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen the academic ties between the two universities and contribute to the broader educational and humanitarian goals in the region.
