Assoc. Prof. Matovu Highlights Successful PhD Dissertation Defense at IUIU

The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) took part in the 14th edition of the National Council for Higher Education Exhibition. The three-day event, ran from Thursday, March 21st to Saturday, March 24th, 2024, took place at the Uganda Christian University Mbale Campus.
IUIU students presented diverse products from science and technology, innovative alternative medicines, and agricultural advancements cultivated from the university's farm. The exhibition provided a platform for the students to demonstrate their creativity and academic excellence to a broad audience.
Among the notable visitors to the IUIU stall was the Lord Mayor of Mbale City Namugali Casim and Dr. Jamil Serwanga, the Vice-Rector in charge of Academic Affairs at IUIU.
Dr. Jamil commended the IUIU team for their excellent representation of the university at the exhibition. He emphasized the importance of continued support for research and innovation within the academic community.
The exhibition not only served as a showcase of academic achievements but also facilitated networking opportunities for students, faculty, and industry professionals. Providing ground for collaboration and exchange of ideas, fostering a culture of innovation and advancement within Uganda's higher education landscape.
