IUIU To Collaborate in Research with RUFORUM Members
The Rector, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), represented by the Vice-Rector in charge of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jamil Serwanga, has held bilateral discussions to develop staff exchange programs and with other Universities.
This was revealed during the meeting with RUFORUM Secretariat and the Sudan Delegation on the 27th March 2022 at Makerere University-Main Campus.
The Forum, whose objective is to build capacity in Agriculture, emphasized research partnership and staff exchange programs among RUFORUM members across the region.
"We resolved that all Universities under the RUFORUM should frequently visit the RUFORUM website to monitor the call-for-proposals so that we can jointly embark on research projects that can promote agriculture and other fields of research and capacity building in the region." Dr. Serwanga elaborated.
The Sudan Delegation composed of representative from; Peace University, University of Gezira, and University of Kordofan.
The University has recently signed a number of MOU with different higher education institutions and organizations, the most recent being the University of Lahore, Pakistan
