The Third Edition Of 'RUN FOR GIRL CHILD' 2024

“Run for Girl Education” is an annual event initiated by the Islamic University in Uganda (Females’ Campus) in 2022 to improve access to higher education for female students. 

The essence of this effort is to promote inclusivity in education for all and contribute to national development by addressing cultural and societal factors that contribute to the increased number of university dropouts among female students as per SDG4; which is a commitment to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”

For this event to happen we have partnered with the community, public and private entities like banks, radio & TV media, and Heads of schools. Those participating in this year’s Run will be going 9.4 kilometers.
