Ms. Nagadya Hamidah, the AG Dean, of the Faculty of Law highlighted that the symposium aimed at the career mentorship of female law students. It also equipped students with skills on how to deal with sexual harassment.
The occasion was graced by Lady Justice Jane, a judge of the high court of Uganda, the head bar course of the Law Development Centre, Ms Annet, and the United Nations Representative.
The Judge emphasized that female law students need to learn how to speak up against sexual harassment as it is the only way justice can be assured. The head bar course emphasized that female law students need to learn how to be confident and not undermine their potential. She also emphasized the need to commit themselves to success and that people are not defined by their family background.
The United Nations representative emphasized the issue of pushing through all odds to attain success. All the speakers emphasized that for everything in life, one needs Allah.
