IUIU Strengthens International Ties with Mahasarakham University Delegation Visit

As part of our academic enrichment program, the Year 3 LLB students visited the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) on 19th/September/2024. The objective of the visit was to gain practical insight into the registration processes and services offered by URSB.
URSB is a government agency responsible for registering business organizations, intellectual property, and other relevant documents. Its mandate includes promoting compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
During the visit, the students observed the process of business Registration, including sole proprietorships, partnerships, and companies, aspects relating to Intellectual Property Registration, and they were briefed on the process of registering trademarks, patents, and copyrights. Property Registration, they understood the procedures for registering land titles and other property-related documents, and conducting Search Services by learning how URSB provides search services for businesses, intellectual property, and property records.

They also engaged in a question-and-answer session, clarifying doubts and gaining a deeper understanding. The visit to URSB provided valuable practical knowledge, complementing the students' theoretical studies. It enhanced their understanding of business law, intellectual property law, and property law.
